A note to you, a Fight Freaks Unite subscriber and, obviously, a big boxing fan

First, thank you for following me to Substack and subscribing to Fight Freaks Unite! I very much appreciate your interest and readership and have been overwhelmed by the growth of the newsletter since I began publishing it in January and the positive reviews it has received. If you’re reading, it means you love boxing just like I do.  

I have been publishing the newsletter regularly — usually several times per week — so if you subscribe you know how much content you receive: multiple notebooks per week, an updated schedule, updated rankings for divisions in the news, breaking news items, commentary, a look at memorabilia from my extensive boxing collection, recaps of the major fights each weekend and links to wherever else my writing and interviews appear.

One of the nicest compliments I have received from some readers is that they feel like they get everything they need in the newsletter in one spot and that if they only read Fight Freaks Unite they would be up to date on everything notable going on in the sport, with no need to search multiple websites or click a multitude of links to get the news.

I think that is worth something, so while I will continue to provide some stories, notes and the schedule for free, I am now offering paid subscriptions at a rate of $5.99 a month or $60 per year and hope you will upgrade yours to receive subscriber-only newsletters, the ability to participate in the discussion threads and an eventual mailbag feature that will allow you to interact directly with me and receive answers to your comments and questions in a form longer than can be tweeted.
