Terence Crawford is one of the most accomplished boxers in recent history.
For years he has been universally viewed at or near the top of the pound-for-pound list; he has won world titles in three divisions (lightweight, junior welterweight and welterweight); became the first-ever four-belt undisputed junior welterweight champion in 2017; and was the 2014 fighter of the year as voted on by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
And now Crawford, the WBO welterweight champion, goes into by far the biggest fight of his career when he squares off with three-belt titleholder and fellow pound-for-pound entrant Errol Spence Jr. with so much at stake in their long-awaited mega fight on July 29 (Showtime PPV and PPV.com, 8 p.m. ET, $84.99) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The winner not only will emerge as the first four-belt undisputed welterweight champion and the 10th male four-belt undisputed champion but also likely will earn global recognition as the pound-for-pound king.
Crawford moved his training camp to Las Vegas in recent weeks, well before he normally would have arrived for some other fight just to make sure everything is in order since he knows how much is at stake.
