DTM and fight freaks, im still trying to decide if that was just a British Classic or an overall Classic? One of the best overall entertaining fights ive seen in a long time. Fair play to both those lads, boxing won yesterday🥊
Asked myself the same question, this was the UK version of Gatti-Ward. About the same level of talent, skill, action, and all out grit.
When I think about overall classic, to me it would require two top fighters putting on a hell of a fight. In my eyes, what these two men accomplish next or later on down the line will help determine whether the fight simply gets the modern day boxing classic status or not.
I’m stunned. Out of nowhere, this was one of my favorite days of Boxing ever. The WWE on it’s best day couldn’t have manufactured this amount of entertaining REAL drama. However I’m going to be a contrarian. I think both guys should move on for now. Especially Conor Benn. Because he’s somehow become a legitimized star. And a grueling rematch with the bigger Chris Eubank Jr could cause permanent damage. Conor Benn vs Ryan Garcia could be the biggest fight in Boxing right now. Oh and BTW, Bud Crawford doesn’t have an ounce of Chris Eubank’s charisma or true financial clout. Maybe Canelo should skip Crawford and move onto Eubank instead. The timing now for both of those fantasy fights would never be better 🔥🔥🇬🇧🇲🇽🇺🇸
Hell of a fight. Not a whole lot of technical expertise shown, especially from Benn, who was all heart in there. But as far as entertainment value goes, probably the best fight we've seen so far this year.
