Heavyweight Fabio Wardley left Frazer Clark nearly unconscious in a crushing first round knockout in their immediate rematch on Saturday at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Fighting in the Artur Beterbiev-Dmitry Bivol co-feature on the Riyadh Season card, Wardley impressively retained the British and Commonwealth titles seven months after he and Clarke went toe-to-toe in an all-out slugfest that ended in a split draw and is a leading fight of the year candidate.
The rematch, however, had none of the drama or wild action of the first fight as Wardley overpowered Clarke in a nasty knockout.
