LAS VEGAS — When Brandon Figueroa and Stephen Fulton fought for the first time they put on an action-packed 2021 fight of the year candidate, which Fulton won by majority decision to unify junior featherweight titles.
More than three years later, the met again and did not deliver nearly that kind of fight. But for Fulton it will be a classic as he outboxed Figueroa to handily win a unanimous decision and the WBC featherweight title — and go 2-0 against him — in the co-feature of the light heavyweight showdown between David Benavidez and David Morrell that headlined the PBC on Prime Video PPV on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.
Fulton won 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112 to collect a world title in a second weight class.
