LOS ANGELES — Former unified heavyweight titlist Andy Ruiz Jr. and Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, his good friend, battled to a majority draw in a crowd-pleasing fight on the undercard of the Terence Crawford-Israil Madrimov DAZN PPV on Saturday night at BMO Stadium.
Judge Robert Hoyle scored it 116-112 for Miller but Lou Moret and David Sutherland both scored it 114-114. Fight Freaks Unite scored it 115-113 for Miller, who rebounded well from his first loss in a 10th-round knockout to Daniel Dubois in December.
Miller, who threw more punches, landed more and connected at a higher percentage, felt he won the fight.
