As unimpressive as WBO middleweight titleholder Janibek Alimkhanuly looked in his first defense that is how sharp he looked destroying Steven Butler in the second round on Saturday night in the main event of the Top Rank Boxing on ESPN card at Stockton Arena in Stockton, California.
Alimkhanuly, who defended the 160-pound belt for the second time, pummeled and bloodied the overmatched Butler, dropping him three times in the blowout and living up to his pre-fight promise to knock him out “in devastating fashion.”
