Hamzah Sheeraz blew away Tyler Denny in the second round to win the European middleweight title as he turned in yet another impressive performance in his march up the rankings at 160 pounds in the co-feature of the Riyadh Season card headlined by Anthony Joshua-Daniel Dubois on Saturday before a British record crowd of 98,128 at Wembley Stadium in London.
Sheeraz, who was coming off a career-best win when he drilled Austin “Ammo” Williams in the 11th round on the “5 vs. 5” card on June 1, was even more explosive against Denny, who was defending the European title for the second time.
Sheeraz hurt Denny and dropped him with his first serious punch of the fight, a left hook to the temple in the opening 30 seconds of the first round.
