If you have a few million dollars kicking around Muhammad Ali’s autographed trunks worn in one of the most famous fights of all time could be yours.
The white Everlast brand shorts with black trim that Ali wore during the famed “Thrilla in Manila,” his epic 14th-round stoppage of fellow great Joe Frazier to retain the undisputed heavyweight title, are on the auction block and poised to go for big bucks.
The fight was the third of the legendary Ali-Frazier trilogy and took place on Oct. 1, 1975 at Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, on the outskirts of Manila in the Philippines.
Sotheby’s is auctioning the trunks from what many consider the greatest heavyweight title fight of all time in an online auction that began March 27 and ends April 12 at 12:31 p.m. ET.
