These updates are always exactly that......UPDATES...and not old news. Kahn re-match....I don't see why? Should he fight again? Not my decision...that is his...If he chooses to he needs a fight he has a 'chance ' of winning....this will be a blowout again. In reference to Canelo....of course, fighters/managers/promoters will have negative shout-outs in reference to his decisions. ...but he deserves it...Who else has fought more world title fights in one year against tough undefeated champions......and then moves up another division again against a guy who ON PAPER should give him a very tough fight.........especially if Bivol doesn't stay in the pocket...and moves. He should be able to choose his opponents...deserving. He is not taking any easy routes....He can't fight everybody....although he is trying...:>))
Kov is done he is done in the ring, he is done as far as a draw that is why he is hanging around Triller fight club even after they promised this or that and did nothing but make more promises. Was a time he drew but those days are done and his actions esp outside the ring have been his own doing or should I say undoing fighting to pay off legal expenses for assault on woman. That is where he draws his inspiration from to fight on............
I'll help Canelo answer why he's fighting Golovkin now - Golovkin will be 40 in April and he's been relatively inactive over the past few years.
As far as I'm concerned Golovkin won the two 160lb fights that they've already had, despite being past his prime, but the judges seemed to really like Canelo for some reason.
IMO beating Golovkin at a higher weight (168) when he's 40 would be a hollow victory.
What were the terrible things personal things that 3G said about Saul ? Was it another person talking about his mother.? I don't remember 3G being a nasty trash talker in his lead up to fights just how I remember him. Now he has gotten older sure and is inactive that is true but every fighter i know is getting older and none are becoming more active unless there are some big paying easy fights available to them.
I believe, but not absolutely sure, that Golovkin called Canelo a cheat after he was popped twice for Clenbuterol before their rematch in 2018 and I think he said something similar because of the judging in their fights.
For me Canelo has deliberately waited for Golovkin to get older and more inactive - there was no real reason why they couldn't have fought again in 2019 but Canelo simply wouldn't fight him.
In fact DAZN have tried to make this fight again and again since Golovkin first signed with them in 2019.
TBH now that Golovkin is an inactive 40 and has to fight at 168lbs the fight has lost a lot of its interest for me.
Yes I remember that now, about the dirty drug test but that was a fact not something 3G made up or fabricated at all I am sure of that could even fact check it. So there was no malice on 3Gs part at all. I felt two things about the fights they had they were close I gave them to 3G just my take I am not a professional judge just a fan guilty of leaning one way or the other from time to time but not very often as I have aged with the fight game. None of the fights they had held my attention after they were over other then as you mentioned the unfair judging and what was at stake and how I agree Saul refused to fight him until he got old. I see Saul as a excelllent fighter but an oportunist to put it politely. In all his fights he has taken a road of least resistance. His choice now he got his slow rise and built his name and rep and is untouchable by most fans and writers. And he now will BEGIN to fight more serious fights with a promoter who has given him more promo for free then I have ever witnessed. Lot of words but thanks for the kick back. Some may think I am kicking dirt at Saul I am not just calling it as I see it is all. Fight fans can still do that.
