Jermell Charlo, who had been the undisputed four-belt junior middleweight champion, is now down to two belts after vacating the IBF title on Tuesday just hours before a 12 p.m. ET purse bid was scheduled to determine promotional rights to his mandatory defense against Bakhram Murtazaliev.
Charlo moved up to super middleweight to challenge undisputed champion Canelo Alvarez on Sept. 30 and when the bell rang Charlo was stripped of the WBO title and interim titlist Tim Tszyu elevated to the full titleholder.
