The years of on and off feuding between Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya and star client Ryan Garcia appears to have come to an end, at least for the time being.
In addition to the extreme chumminess and apparent good relationship De La Hoya and Golden Boy partner Bernard Hopkins and Garcia exhibited toward each other during the lead up to Garcia’s upset majority decision over Devin Haney last Saturday in their major pay-per-view fight, the lawsuit Golden Boy filed against Garcia and his attorney/adviser Guadalupe Valencia last year has been settled.
In an order filed Wednesday by Judge Andrew P. Gordon of the U.S. District Court for Nevada, and obtained by Fight Freaks Unite, the case was dismissed.
