The promotion for Devin Haney’s challenge of WBC junior welterweight titleholder Regis Prograis got off to fiery start at their kickoff news conference on Tuesday.
The back and forth between the two on social media spilled over in person as they met face to face outside of the Chase Center in San Francisco, where they will square off in a compelling fight on Dec. 9 (DAZN PPV in North America, DAZN rest of world), when Haney, the unified lightweight world champion, will move up one division for his 140-pound debut.
After the loud, vulgar and sometime incoherent ranting of Prograis’ strength and conditioning coach, Evins Tobler, toward Bill Haney, Devin’s father, trainer and manager, the fighters had their say.
