Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, the unified WBO/IBF flyweight world titleholder, is headed back up to junior bantamweight where he plans to reclaim the WBC belt he vacated.
Rodriguez has agreed to a proposed fight with lineal/WBC champion Juan Francisco Estrada, which is in the works to headline a Matchroom Boxing card on June 29 (DAZN), likely at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
“It's done on our side. I believe it's very close on Estrada’s side,” Rodriguez trainer and manager Robert Garcia told Fight Freaks Unite on Monday. “Looks like Glendale, Arizona, for Estrada’s WBC title.”
