A fight for the eventual vacant IBF lightweight title is in the works between George Kambosos Jr. and Vasiliy Lomachenko, both former unified 135-pound champions, multiple sources with knowledge of the plans told Fight Freaks Unite.
If a deal is finalized, the fight would headline a Top Rank Boxing card on an ESPN platform and air on the evening of Saturday, April 13 in the United States, with the bout likely to take place in Perth, Australia, where it would be Sunday afternoon on April 14, the sources said.
