Bakhram Murtazaliev may not be all that well know even to diehard boxing fans, but those who have seen him in the ring know that he is very aggressive and loves nothing more than to bang it out with opponents. A master of the sweet science he is not.
And Murtazaliev does not hide what his style is and how he plans to approach his first IBF junior middleweight title defense against former WBO beltholder Tim Tszyu.
“The best part of fighting Tim Tszyu is that he won’t run,” Murtazaliev said in translated comments. “He is coming to fight. I love fighting in the center of the ring. It’s going to be a great fight for the fans to watch.”
Murtazaliev and Tszyu will clash in the main event of the “PBC Championship Boxing” tripleheader on Saturday (Prime Video, 8 p.m. ET) at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. It is the first Premier Boxing Champions non-pay-per-view event since its deal with Prime Video was announced in late 2023.
