Legendary eight-division champion and 2025 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Manny Pacquiao has been looking for an official fight in the wake of his unretirement in July when he fought to a disputed majority draw many thought he rightfully won against WBC welterweight titlist Mario Barrios.
But with no deal coming together and the prospect of a fight with WBA titlist Rolando Romero falling by the wayside, at least for the time being, the 47-year-old Filipino icon will take on former junior welterweight titlist Ruslan Provodnikov in a 10-round welterweight exhibition bout on April 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Industry Media and Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions announced on Tuesday night.
No media platform was announced but organizers said one is forthcoming as well as “a full undercard of world championship boxing.”
