WBA welterweight titlist Rolando “Rolly” Romero and Teofimo Lopez, the former junior welterweight and lightweight champion, are set to fight.

They will square off on Aug. 22 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in the headliner of a PBC pay-per-view card that will be carried on both Prime Video and DAZN, PBC announced on Tuesday, having finalized the deal Fight Freaks Unite reported was agreed to late last month.

Romero, a PBC fighter, and Lopez, a free agent, whose Takeover Promotions will also promote the event, are scheduled to face off at news conference to hype the bout dubbed “Put Up or Shut Up” on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Lopez, who had been in discussions with Zuffa Boxing, opted instead for the fight with Romero.

Lopez is coming off losing the lineal and WBO junior welterweight titles by one-sided decision to Shakur Stevenson on Jan. 31 in New York. After the bout, Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs), 28, a Brooklyn, New York, native living in Las Vegas, said he would go up to the welterweight division.
