Shakur Stevenson will make his first defense of the WBC lightweight title against Artem Harutyunyan in the main event of the Top Rank Boxing on ESPN card on July 6 (ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN+, 9 p.m. ET) at Prudential Center in his hometown of Newark, New Jersey, Top Rank announced, confirming a Fight Freaks Unite report from early April.
In addition, WBC junior lightweight titleholder O’Shaquie Foster will make his third defense against Robson Conceicao in the co-feature and lightweight Keyshawn Davis, the 2022 Fight Freaks Unite prospect of the year, will open the main card in a 10-rounder against Miguel Madueno
“It feels good to be going back home to Newark, where they appreciate a young legend, and to make my first title defense at 135,” Stevenson said. “On July 6, down goes Artem.”
