Unified heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk sees the end of his career coming but has three more fights he’d like to have before retiring.
He said he wants to fight Tyson Fury to unify the four major belts for the undisputed championship; take up undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez on his talk of challenging Usyk for his heavyweight titles; and conclude his career with a farewell fight at Olympiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv in his native Ukraine.
Former undisputed cruiserweight champion and 2012 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), 35, retained his three belts via decision in a rematch with Anthony Joshua on Aug. 20 but plans to take the rest of the year due to injuries, scuttling talk of an immediate fight with Fury. But Usyk said he still wants Fury next year.
