It was a huge boxing weekend with two major cards in New York, the Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano III all-women’s show on Friday night on Netflix and the loaded Ring magazine DAZN PPV event topped Edgar Berlanga-Hamzah Sheeraz on Saturday night, and we recapped it all! There are also two interviews on this episode, my conversations with IBF heavyweight titlist Daniel Dubois and WBC welterweight titleholder Mario Barrios ahead of their very significant bouts that will take place this coming Saturday. Recap of Sheeraz’s devastating fifth-round knockout of Berlanga in a WBC super middleweight eliminator as well as three other superb fights on the card: WBC lightweight titlist Shakur Stevenson’s decision over William Zepeda; Subriel Matias majority decision over Alberto Puello to win the WBC junior welterweight title; and light heavyweight David Morrell’s debatable split decision over Imam Khataev.
