It’s a big boxing weekend with two major cards and we previewed and discussed both in detail: the return of heavyweight legend Mike Tyson to fight Jake Paul in the main event of the MVP card on Friday night on Netflix and the cruiserweight unification fight between Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez and Chris Billam-Smith in the headliner of the Riyadh Season “Latino Night” card Saturday on DAZN. We also covered notable news of the week and looked back on the anniversary of three highly significant fights.
Here is what’s on the show (in order):
Preview of Paul-Tyson: Is it legit or a sideshow, the rules tweaks, the massive publicity, expected crowd and gate and more.
Preview of the Paul-Tyson undercard, namely the long-awaited rematch between undisputed women’s junior welterweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.
Preview of “Latino Night,” including Ramirez-Billam-Smith; junior welterweight Jose Ramirez versus Arnold Barboza; lightweight contender William Zepeda against former junior lightweight titlist Tevin Farmer; the strawweight unification fight between Oscar Collazo and Thammanoon Niyomtrong; more.
