Welcome to the Fight Freaks Unite recap podcast coming off a weekend that included the Golden Boy/DAZN card headlined by a disappointing mismatch between Jaime Munguia and Gonzalo Coria and a Queensberry card on which Anthony Yarde punched his way into a light heavyweight title shot against unified champion Artur Beterbiev. We discussed those fights as well as news of Gervonta Davis’ Jan. 7 fight being set and Ryan Garcia’s announcement that he too will have a January interim fight before Davis and Garcia are due to meet in April.

• Munguia’s quick and easy KO of Coria in yet another epic mismatch. • The announcement that Davis will defend his secondary lightweight belt against junior lightweight titlist Hector Luis Garcia on Showtime PPV on Jan. 7 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., in the interim bout before he is due to face Ryan Garcia. • Discussion of Ryan Garcia’s announcement that he is also now committed to a January fight before the planned fight with Davis.
