Former junior middleweight titlist Tim Tszyu can breathe easy again after bouncing back from back-to-back losses.

Tszyu, who returned home to Australia after taking those two rough defeats in the United States in 2024, scored an easy fourth-round knockout of Joey Spencer in the main event of a No Limit Boxing/PBC on Prime Video card at Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Newcastle, Australia, where it was Sunday afternoon and Saturday night in the United States.

The victory not only thrilled Tszyu’s legion of fans and got him back on track, it also set up a likely fight with former unified welterweight titlist Keith Thurman.

Thurman returned from a three-plus year layoff mainly due to injuries by traveling to Sydney, Australia, three weeks ago and knocking out Brock Jarvis in the third round. Tszyu was on the broadcast team watching as Thurman did his part to propel himself into their fight.

And then Tszyu did his part as he started slowly and eventually battered Spencer so badly in the fourth round that his corner threw in the towel as he was being pummeled.

There was much relief from Tszyu to win again.

“No pressure, man. I’m happy,” he said laughing. “Actually, yeah, there was a bit of pressure. I couldn’t do a third consecutive loss, but I hope I learned. I hope I teach people that if they drop and they go on the floor, and when shit hits the fan, you can always get back up and rise to the top.”
