Tyson vs. Paul heavyweight fight rescheduled for Nov. 15
Taylor vs. Serrano rematch also moved to the new date

The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul heavyweight fight has been rescheduled. It will remain at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and take place on Nov. 15 (Netflix), Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced on Friday.
The bout was originally scheduled for July 20 but postponed on May 31 after Tyson suffered a flare-up of an ulcer during a flight from Miami to Los Angles. His doctor recommended minimal to light training for a few weeks.
The new date is a Friday night instead of the typical Saturday night for a major boxing event. MVP and AT&T Stadium officials still wanted to hold the fight there so Friday was selected. That will allow stadium officials to break down the fight setup and prepare the facility for when the Dallas Cowboys host the Houston Texans for “Monday Night Football” on Nov. 18.
“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T Stadium in the midst of the Cowboys season,” MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said. “We appreciate the outstanding dedication, collaboration, and flexibility of our partners at Netflix and AT&T Stadium.
“Paul vs. Tyson is the most cross generational sporting event in history, and we are committed to providing fans worldwide with this unforgettable night of boxing, live globally on Netflix. We look forward to seeing everyone for a showdown that will be talked about for generations to come.”

Rescheduled along with the main event is the much-anticipated co-feature, the rematch between undisputed women’s junior welterweight champion Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs), 37, of Ireland, and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs), 35, a Puerto Rican southpaw and winner of titles in a women’s record seven divisions.
They will meet again 2½ after their instant classic battle that Taylor, then the undisputed lightweight champion, won by split decision in April 2022 at sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York.
Tyson-Paul has been polarizing since it was announced. It is slated to be an official boxing match and not an exhibition, albeit with some caveats. They will box an eight-rounder with two-minute rounds instead of the standard three-minute rounds for men and wear 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves.
After the deal for the fight was done, MVP said Tyson pressed for the bout to be an official fight and Texas regulators signed off on it even though Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion and one of the most iconic athletes in history, will be 58 on fight night facing the 27-year Paul (9-1, 6 KOs), who may be a novice cruiserweight moving up in weight (and a famed YouTube/social media personality) but is a hard puncher in his physical prime.
“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly,” Tyson said. “I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties. While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”
Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) has not had a professional fight in 19 years since retiring in 2005 after a quitting in a sixth-round knockout loss to journeyman Kevin McBride. It was Tyson’s third knockout loss in four fights.
Since retiring, however, Tyson has participated in two exhibitions, most famously an eight-rounder against fellow Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 in the main event of a pay-per-view card that included Paul, in his second pro bout, scoring a memorable second-round knockout of former NBA player Nate Robinson. Tyson also fought a four-round exhibition against Corey Sanders in 2006.
MVP said previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date with no action needed to keep current tickets and seat locations. Those unable to attend the rescheduled date can obtain refunds at their original point of purchase until July 8.
MVP said the status of additional announced undercard bouts is to be determined. Those fights include a 10-rounder between lightweight prospects Ashton “H20” Sylve and Floyd Schofield and the return from a nearly three-year layoff of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. against former UFC fighter Darren Till a six-round cruiserweight fight at a contract weight of 190 pounds.

Sorry to say this, but I'm hoping Mike's ulcer is an ongoing issue and that this nonsense gets cancelled, or at least turned into an exhibition. Dude is too old to be doing this.
Starting to wonder about this one…🤔
