That was a beat down last night, but damn was Lemieux game! It didn’t look like he had a chance in hell but he was going at it like a man possessed. His corner did the right thing I think. He looked tiny in there with Benavidez. Good payday for him I hope. He earned it.
I like the Canelo - Benavidez fight after the GGG trilogy. Plenty for Canelo to do at 168, he doesn’t need to move up again or rematch Bivol. Also, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, someone cannot be an “undisputed” champion when the sanctioning bodies themselves are disputing that claim by naming additional titleholders in the division. Canelo is *the* world champion at 168 and that will be the case until he loses, whatever happens with the shiny belts in the “interim”.
Dan and fight freaks please educate me on why GGG has never been criticized for ever attempting to move up or down in weight? I personally have mixed feelings about it, one side of it for me is that he hasn’t challenged himself enough, on the flip side i respect the hell of out of it because to pretty much stay at 160 lb your whole career speaks to the discipline outside the gym. Curious on your thoughts, happy Sunday you freaks!🥊
I think GGG has been criticised for not attempting to move to 168. I know a lot of people wanted to see him fight Andre Ward there. With that said, division hopping can be overrated. I like long reigning and clear champions in a division rather than a guy like Gervonta Davis who’s never fought the number one in a division and yet has held two dubious WBA belts.
Should Canelo take the Nonito Donaire route and say hey i tried moving up in weight but it didnt workout so let me go back down and dominate? I know he’s mentioned he wont go down less than 168 lb but i wondered if he’d ever consider making 160 again.
Yes he should do that. Every fighter has his limit. Beside the Margarito fight, Pacquiao never fought above 147. I don’t think he should go back to 160 but instead fight the opponents he has at 168 and wait for others to move up.

Canelo vs Benavidez who you got Dan?
Let them make the fight and then we can discuss.
Dan favorite non-title holder current or retired who you loved to watch??
Nunez definitely beat Fierro, but the latter has a point about the ref. Dude was way too involved.
