Great piece Dan. Looking forward to what's next for Canelo, especially if it's Benavidez, or Beterbiev. Also, I signed up for the Founders membership a few weeks ago, and I'm looking forward to our zoom chat. No rush at all, but I'd love to know how we go about scheduling that. P.S. Will you be going to the theater Thursday night for the one-night-only release of Rocky vs Drago? I'll be watching at home on Saturday - can't wait!
My friend, I'm from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico the exact same city of birth of Canelo Alvarez.
My American friend. may I please know what is your earliest memory and/or history with my country of Mexico or with Mexicans or with Mexican culture as far back as you can possibly remember as a child or teenager in the United States of America?
In other words how did you first learn about Mexico or about Mexican culture growing up?
Perhaps your very first knowledge about Mexico or about Mexican culture happened in school, or from watching the television, or listening on the radio, or perhaps it was your parents, or other family members or friends who first introduced you anything relating to Mexico or Mexican culture? Or perhaps your very first knowledge about Mexico happened in some other way?
The reason for asking you all these strange questions is because we as Mexicans are by far the most culturally patriotic people for our country, for our culture, for our history more so than any other nationality on Earth. Trust me on this, our love for Mexico is like a religion for us.
But at the same time we recognize and are deeply ashamed and embarrassed of our corrupt Mexican government which is mostly responsible for most of Mexico's many problems the biggest ones being our country's poverty, our organized crime, and lack of good job opportunities. Unfortunately the Mexican government is still too powerful to overthrow, for now. This is why there's so many Mexicans living in the United States. Although the current government is doing a descent job at the moment. But all the negative things about Mexico is for another time...
As a result of our extreme patriotism we absolutely love it when we see people from other countries and other races that have any personal interest in our country, or our culture. In your personal case with our Mexican boxers!
Seeing people from other countries and other ethnic backgrounds that have any personal interest in our country, in our people or in our culture brings us much more patriotism, joy, honor and it means more to us than you can possibly imagine. It is that important for Mexicans.
This is why I'm asking you all these questions. I would truly love and appreciate your honest responses to all of my questions. Thank you.
Here’s a dumb but respectful question. Why can’t Charlo or Benavidez fight Canelo on DAZN? I know my wallet would certainly prefer it. Thanks!

Hey David, I don't know if I've asked you this before (my apologies if I did) but what part of the world are you from my friend?
Hi Benito, I'm from the northeast part of the United States. You?
