One alternative explanation:

Since a fight with Chisora is just an exhibition for Fury, he might as well give Lowe some coaching experience and a few $.

After all, Sugar and Tyson are business partners; and Tyson has been very generous with Sugar, including allowing Sugar to use his house in Vegas.

Then when he fights AJ or Usyk, he will partner with Sugar.

Fury should fight BOTH AJ and Usyk.

Fury is so full of shit (6'9" worth). His "retirement" was nonsense and his antics are tiring. He's an attention-seeking baby, and if he really thinks a 3rd fight with Chisora is something anybody wants to see, he's an even bigger clown than the one he dresses like.

Agreed - unfortunately Fury has none of the charisma, charm, imagination and humour that Ali had and so what he's comes out with over the past 14 years has been repetitious and therefore tiresome. Thankfully he probably only has one or two fights left before he retires for real.

Was a time when the only thing that mattered to fight fans was what the fighter "did" in the ring and maybe a few comments after the fight. Fight fans were interested in the action in the ring not what was being said while a fighter sat around and played word games. If I want to hear a drunk talking millionaire amuse him self there are a lot more people that say interesting things in that state of mind then this manufactured fool. But this is what passes for fight talk now........ A promotional shit talker.......it is not the fight fans fault it is what all the PODS and all the internet writers will talk about for a while. This is what the fight fans gets passed on to them garbage talk like this.

Chisora has said for years that Fury owed him a world title shot for "doing him a favour". So this out of the blue offer from Fury to Dereck suggests that this is true.

The favour almost certainly has to be Chisora putting zero effort into their second fight, a WBO eliminator, which made Fury the WBO mandatory challenger for Klitschko.

That said, Frank Warren is a terrible skinflint and he's made a low-ball offer to Dereck which means the fight may not happen.

I read on Benson's tweet that this offer to Chisora is via Goldstar Promotions, which is not connected with Arum nor Warren, Of course, he would need their consents.

Well Fury has already said that the offer was made to Chisora because he wanted a trilogy with Chisora - not that I believe that - however if nothing else it shows the offer hasn't been made on an independent basis.

IMO there's no reason for this out-of-the-blue offer to have been made to Chisora other than fulfilling an agreement made between the fighters in the past. Nobody is interested in this fight happening other than Fury & Chisora.

Love it when the Gypsy King stirs some s#it and he humorous I think. We all know whatup, pulling for Usyk so theres no drawn out contractual issues. I figure the Usyk mix is more even, he'll smoke AJ in 8

Anyone know if Fury is still contracted with Arum and Warren??

He finished his contract with Arum after the Dillian fight.

Thanks. I thought this may have been the case. Compounded by the fact that whenever Warren has been asked about it recently, he's replied 'I've not had any conversations about Chisora.'

I think if the fight is in the US then Arum is his promoter whereas if it's in the UK then it's Warren. I don't know who would promote him if he was fighting somewhere like Saudi Arabia?

However as Fury is unlikely to be allowed into the US again because of his connection to Daniel Kinahan, he won't be fighting in the US again.

Thanks. I'd read he may be working with the people who had organized his recent speaking tour. Couldn't think where I'd heard it, however it's been mentioned above by Barry.

Yep - but Fury has already said that the reason for choosing Chisora is that he wanted a trilogy with him - I don't buy that but I do think Fury chooses his opponents nobody else.
