Actually i'm sure the earliest date given to Joshua in November was November 26th at Wembley the next date along with a big enough venue that had a free bookable date was in December 3rd.

How can broadcast rights be an issue if one promoter wins a bid? Assume there was a bid and Frank Warren won.

There was no purse bid. It's an optional fight negotiated between the parties. Broadcast rights are a huge issue that must be worked out.

It was a hypothetical.

This suggests a Fury. AJ biff will be unlikely as there are now 6 parties to appease: two fighters; two promoters; and two broadcasters.

I recall Haney had to diss Hearn to join Arum in order to biff with my Aussie guy Kambo.

I believe that AJ has now chickened out of two oppos to protect his brand - Wilder and Fury - to protect his brand. That is a crafty biz move.

Unless he fights Fury, Wilder, Fury, Joyce and Ruiz, his other fights will be marketing fights.

Sorry to disappoint Barry but this is not the case - as I shall explain.

Firstly, Wilder admitted in a tweet that he didn't take the offer from Hearn to fight Joshua and chose to fight Fury.

Here is the reply tweet (see link) from Eddie Hearn to Wilder after Wilder's admission of not taking the offer to fight Joshua - along with the original tweet from Wilder...

Secondly, the two people conducting the contract negotiations are George Warren (Frank's son) of Queensbury Promotions and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

The contract has been passed between these two and their lawyers, with suggested corrections, for the past two weeks - this is how contract negotiations take place in boxing.

It's interesting to note that this past Monday when Fury was threatening to pull out of the fight - the contract was actually with George Warren of Queensberry not Eddie Hearn - Hearn received it back with suggested corrections yesterday (Thursday, Sept 29th).

This shows that Fury and Frank Warren know very little about the actual negotiations being done by George Warren.

George Warren and Eddie Hearn have both said they're happy to continue negotiations until an agreement has been achieved - there is 9 weeks until the fight date and so plenty of time for both sides to come to terms.

The real question is why Tyson Fury is trying to pull out of this fight when the negotiations are still going okay and there's still another 9 weeks until the fight - as far as I'm concerned it is Fury who is pulling out of the fight not Joshua.

Re Wilder

I went by what his manager Finky said during an interview that they accepted AJ's demands.

I don't believe what they claim unless I can see the actual final draft or signed contracts.

The promoters acts under instructions from their fighters. Both promoters said that. If one fighter ducks there is nothing any one can "negotiate". Frank is the boss. George in effect the COO.

You missed the point that TF will fight on 3 Dec regardless and his team needs time. Obviously, with anything there is a time limit, otherwise nothing gets done. If TF hangs his gloves on AJ and he ducks, then he has no one to fight on 3 Dec.

IF the claims of Hearn are 95% true, there will not be TF-AJ fight due to their exclusive commitments.

At the end of the day, it is only an entertainment for fans - and there are plenty of alternatives,

Hearn is not saying that there can't be an agreement between DAZN & BT - in fact he's said the opposite. Frank Warren is a figurehead for Queensberry Promotions, he does the media stuff, it is George & Francis who deal with the business side, including fight negotiations.

These negotiations have not taken very long compared to most big fight negotiations - this is the biggest fight in British boxing history remember. From various articles and video interviews I think the timetable of events so far are....

Sept 7th: Fury makes offer to Joshua via video.

Sept 16th: Matchroom receives contract from Queensberry (not said to be urgent).

Sept 24th: Revised contract sent from Matchroom to Queensberry.

Sept 29th: Contract with requested changes sent from Queensberry back to Matchroom.

This has taken 3 weeks & 3 days - which is nothing for such negotiations. When Queensberry first sent the contract there was no message that it had to be handled quickly, if they had then maybe Matchroom's lawyers would have worked over the weekend (lawyers usually don't).

Fury & Frank Warren are gaslighting boxing fans by claiming that Joshua isn't going to sign the contract and they haven't heard from Hearn - it just isn't true even according to George Warren.

If you prefer to believe Tyson Fury then that's up to you - I choose to check what Fury says because of all the lies he's told in the past, and now I'm 99.9% certain he's up to his old tricks again here.

If from 7 Sep was not enough time for early Dec fight, why didn't both parties - who are very experienced - say so upfront, knowing TF will biff in early Dec regardless? Remember that major terms have already been agreed upfront.

I am not in their shoes and obviously don't have their experiences. However, if I asked, I would always advise for parties to discuss and agree on MoUs on all the key points and then get lawyers involved. And give the MoU to the lawyers to quickly draft. Since they are dealing with experienced boxing lawyers, those lawyers would have plenty of templates or draft agreements on hand and they would serve up a first draft within 24 hours easy. Within the next 48 hours the final draft would have been sent to the other parties. Likewise with the other parties. Within 7 days, the contract(s) would be ready to be signed. Obviously, during those 7 days the parties would be in regular communication.

In short, if there is a will, there is a way.

As I said before, I take these matters as light entertainment. I care not whether they lied or not; whether they will biff or not. However, I enjoyed TF's vids and posts for their humour value.

You are clearly not a fan of TF.

Agreed - both parties should have acted with more haste.

Actually I've never understood why promoters have to go through this sequence of passing the contract to each other when they could just get around the table, or have a big zoom meeting, and thrash out the agreement and then let the lawyers draw up the contracts to be signed.

The way things are at the moment, being so slow, I can't see an agreement being made in time for this fight to go ahead - which is a real shame.

As for Tyson Fury, I have respect for what he's achieved in the ring, imo he is THE world heavyweight champion, however he lost any good will I had for him when he "retired" rather than give Wlad his contracted rematch and then after being popped for Nandrolone he almost bankrupted UKAD with long-winded legal shenanigans in an effort to avoid his ban.

I find his antics predictable now, and tbh I find them unprofessional and not really becoming of THE world heavyweight champion.

Charr? That will be an exhibition match for Fury. He is following Floyd M.
