Golovkin must have made plenty of money by now, and as he's 41 in April, surely it's time for him to think of his health and retire.

Agree, I think it’s time to take a victory lap and say goodbye. I don’t want to see him or his legacy diminished.

Agreed, but I would not object to seeing him fight Lara. At the very least, it would get Lara to STFU about how Golovkin has always ducked him.

GGG is still my favorite boxer today. The Canelo promotion put off the third fight for 3 years robbing the public. He gave up the IBF title and the WBO is held by another KAZ fighter. Charlo moving up to 168 has always avoided GGG. Andrade was willing to fight him but moved up to 168.

Did you know that GGG's former trainer Abel Sánchez even admitted on the ESPN Spanish version Channel ESPN Deportes, that he agreed and accepted the judges majority decision win for Canelo. It's on YouTube even though I watched it live on TV when he was interviewed right after the fight in Las Vegas. This is why Canelo himself did not want a third fight with GGG, because he already beat the previous fight. But of course DAZN convinced him to take that fight for a ton of money after the Bivol fight.

GGtG chased Canelo the last 7 rounds of their first fight, In the second fight he boxed too much instead of punching more and lost 7-5.

True, thats why they had their rematch and their rubber match which Canelo won.

Abel Sanchez spent the entire time before the rematch, trying to goad Canelo into "Toe to Toe" & "Real Mexican Style". Because he knew Canelo had completely outboxed G in the first fight. What's surprising, Abel and GGG were apparently unprepared for Canelo to give them their wish lol. That's why they lost the rematch.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Did you know GGG and Kelly Pavlik were born only a few days apart? Maybe G should've fought his true contemporaries like Hopkins, Pavlik, Winky, Jermain Taylor, Calzaghe, Ward, etc. Instead of pointing fingers and making excuses. Nah

GGG ducked no one and had 20 some straight stoppages. He was a Olympic Silver Medalist

I've never even heard of Falcao, but if he has to fight the male stripper for the title, it shows how meaningless the IBF title has become. As far as the WBA are concerned, they have no interest in merging their titles together, that was supposed to have been done years ago when Golovkin fought the regular titleholder and beat him, but after that fight, WBA simply handed the regular title to someone else, once again creating two different titleholders at 160. WBA has no honour.

Nando you have to be joking ggg overrated didn’t see the first two canleo fights he won the first and was robbed

The only folks that you use the term "Robbed" are GGG Fan Boys with a massive Narrative Bias. Canelo was never gonna get any credit or the decision from you in the first fight and even less so in the rematch.

The entitled and phony GGG. Was over hyped by HBO. Over payed by DAZN. And now no one is left to pay him for overmatched opponents in the inflated manner he's become accustomed to. Top Rank already turned their nose up at his financial demands during his first free agency. DAZN got milked dry. PBC ain't got nothing but IOU's for him. Bud Crawford can sympathize a bit.

Have to disagree with you about GGG being a phony. He brought “big drama show” to boxing. Defended the middleweight crown 20x and stepped up to fight Canelo in 2 fights that could’ve been judged either way, and yes lost the third, but at the back end of a stellar career, and was certainly not crushed in that fight.

GGG got the big bucks because he put asses in seats. How it works.

Hello. "Good Boy": Threw Abel Sanchez overboard, in lieu of giving Sanchez typical percentage of the purse. "#AlltheBelts" was just used as deodorant for the crummy opposition. BTW that gimmick died when he dropped the IBF title, because he didn't want to face his mando Derevyanchenko. Fought a blown up Welter with depression instead, Vanes Martirosyan. Finally took on Sergei when DAZN and the IBF (again) twisted his arm. "Mexican Style" was cynical marketing.

I thought that Sergi won his fight with 3G just how I saw it. But I am not a judge tho I pay attention to the fights I watch. On top of that I always enjoyed watching 3G fight up until the whole Saul thing took off, I do not re watch those matchs have no desire to what for? To try and count the punches landed in each round, just not a big draw for me. There are fights that I will watch over and over again not that trilogy it took on a life of its own but as far as boxing matches go it did not grab me. not knocking it just not the fight of the year or decade to me any of those three. 3G did a lot of the fight game and that in itself is a big deal. He has not dirtied the name of boxing to my eyes so there is that to consider. Let him fight let him retire in the ring or outside of the ring he earned the right to choose for himself. The way things are going he may have out priced himself if I am reading between the line correctly

That streak is held together by wishful thinking, Vacant Titles, and Secondary Titles. BS.
