Haney could go on to do great things. His father's unhelpful though. Not at Eubank level yet, but don't be surprised if it gets there. All the noise/hypeman crap reminds me of the bad old days for Tyson.
I don't think Haney goes out there trying to please the public again. I also see a double standard in boxing when it comes to holding or clinching, and punching while holding. Linares kept getting reprimanded in Spanish for holding when it was apparent to me Haney was holding the entire time. Then, Linares gets warned for punching while holding when the entire time Haney was doing so.
It was a great fight and Haney dominated every aspect of it for 9 rounds two minutes and fifty eight seconds. That he managed not to get ko’ed after that was a testament to his tenacity and skill and conditioning, but it wasn’t pretty.
Imagine if this was a 15 rounder?? Remember, had Hearns vs Leonard been 12 rounds, Hearns would've won!

I really enjoyed this fight. Great display of boxing, fighting in the pocket, heart, etc. It was high drama and I loved it!
