Man I love FFU! It’s a great forum. I also love finding all the news in my inbox. Can’t wait to actually watch the fight
Did you ever do the Jimmy Fallon “Fever Pitch” thing where you couldn’t watch an afternoon sports event and you were planning to watch it when you got home and you were careful to not look at any media that would spoil it, but you are inadvertently blindsided by an email? That was today’s fight : /
I’ll still watch but not the same you know. Give a guy a spoiler alert for the early fights will ya?
All fighters finally get old. And moving up divisions does not last very long unless your super great.. Herring was an easy choice that I picked for a victory. But Frampton fought well in his prime. He is now walking away healthy.
Great article, Frampton was a small Super Bantamweight, let alone featherweight and lastly Super Featherweight. A good boxer can give away a certain amount of height and reach and win but there comes a point that all those disadvantages when added to a capable opponent are just too big a mountain to climb. When Frampton fought Santa Cruz he gave away 4 inches in reach and 3 inches in height and against Herring those height and reach disparities were double that again. Frampton was a lovely fighter and nice on the eye who bit off more than he could chew with Herring but i wish him a happy retirement, he always came to win and had no quit.
Couldn't have found a worse style for Frampton to face than Herring's, especially at this stage of his career. Glad Carl's gonna retire - he's had a good career.
Herring showed what a good fighter he is and showed great respect and class after the fight in what he said to Carl - a refreshing change nowadays.
Case in point, the great Mickey Garcia should not fight in welter weight division Even a 40 year old Pac Man would damage him. But he had no one else in his proper division. And there is great money heading towards his twilight years with the welts. But with a huge price.

Hello Dan. What fight are you most looking forward to in 2021?
Really looking forward to Oubaali vs Donaire.
Just hope it doesn't get cancelled yet again and that Donaire can be as good as he was against Inoue.

Herring was too big for Frampton but very kind to him after the fight. Akhmadaliev looked good.
Thanks for the articles Mr. RAFAEL.
