I have to say I didn’t feel Jake was going to survive this fight with Tommy.

Tommy has probably been boxing from a very young age and comes from family of fighters. Jake showed he’s a great athlete and he can box and hold his own as a pro, he just doesn’t have the experience. He won my respect for taking the risk and he certainly didn’t get his ass whooped by any means. I’m happy for both fighters earning $5m between them, wow!

In fact Tommy hasn't been fighting from a young age - he's been around boxers and boxing most of his life though.

Tommy had no amateur fights and turned pro in 2018 - the Jake Paul fight being his 9th pro fight in 5 years. By any measure Tommy is a novice pro - which makes the WBC promise of world ranking Jake Paul, if he'd beaten Tommy, all the more ridiculous.

It was a good fight Dan but what was really good was the Jack Makabu fight I got my money’s worth so I am happy

Paul should've stuck to the gimmick fights. If he was going to get in the ring with someone that could actually box a little he could've done far more to maximize the payday for his first loss than fight "Tyson Fury's half-brother". I don't know if the audience will still be there for him to make fights with retired MMA guys but if the money is there I'm sure this won't be the last we see of him.

A sucker is born every minute. Imagine about 30 or 40 years ago going into a bar room and saying the fight you are going to watch was this one. They would beat you half to death before they thru you out the door. It is amazing to sit and watch. Let them have it, the writers that try to put attention on garbage like this, they promoters that act like they love this stuff as much as money in the bank. There is not reality check in boxing just follow what ever anyone else tells you is important in the ring.
