When's that last time a heavyweight contender previously fought one week prior to a championship bout? Also, though I do respect Helenius, his two KO wins over Kownacki and all, but they really pale in comparison to his bout with Wilder when stopped in the first round, an utter beatdown.
Boxers who are categorical;y caught cheating should be given the option of a life time ban or a 1 or 2 year ban if they tell the commission who within their team was facilitating the drug cheating. We know PED cheating is all done in a super controlled way, usually by people with a medical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
Losing Whyte this late in the game sucks, of course, but the show must go on. Helenius is at least a warm body who will show up to fight. Hopefully, he can give Joshua a few rounds of work. I imagine Whyte will be suspended (as he should as a repeat offender).
Chisora vs Washington on the undercard? Eugh. Two guys who probably shouldn’t be out there anymore.
Just got the ding! Yeah, I think that’s the logical choice right?
Agreed
