The trainer did right thing by throwing in the towel 6 seconds left time for another big punch and you get yerbossnuly all over again wood was out on his feet,great fight I had wood 5rds to1 before the punch Lara always had a punchers chance and he showed it there will be rematch so wood has a chance to redeem himself it might not of happened if the fight had not been stopped dan
I don't agree that Wood was ready to continue , his legs were like spaghetti and unsteady and he was being held up by the ropes. I also felt the announcing was egregiously biased. The announcer even beginning to criticize the ref when it was the corner throwing in the towel that caused the stoppage. To hear them talk it sounded like Wood was the only fighter in there despite his swollen , bloody face. Also looked like no one there knew that a kidney punch is illegal insinuating that a clear kidney punch where Lara protested to Wood was " Lara not liking it to the body ". That punch was clearly a kidney punch , replayed but still no comment on it's illegality. It was a good fight but it looked like Lara was looking to land that specific left hook throughout and was landing effectively throughout. I have been a subscriber to Zone from early on but getting frustrating by what I see as biased announcing for British fighters and bad decisions where the outside has to KO the Brit or best him up badly to get a decision. I love boxing but those factors are having me reconsider my subscription.

I don’t think Wood was in great shape. He was wobbling and more or less out on his feet. Hard to fault that split second decision.

I agree lionbreech the announcers were biased, but don’t give Dazan up the fights from England are great most times
