Terrible refereeing from Victor Laughlin. Eubank Jr shouldn't have been allowed to continue after he got up on drunken legs after the first knock down.

Letting Eubank continue was dangerous and could have ended very badly. Luckily, after hitting the canvas again, Eubank finished with only a swollen cheek rather than a swollen brain.

Well done to both Liam Smith, for getting the win, and to Chris Eubank Jr for being gracious in defeat.

It sure looked easy to knock U down for some reason maybe me eyes were prejudiced bc of the way Smith has looked in the past and not a fan of either guy. That said - they brought some action and attention to themselves Saturday Night, It just seemed that U went down harder then the shots landed at first watch. I will check it during the week and be for sure in that count.

Eubank, who is excellent value as an articulate talker, was fighting below his ideal weight. He was clearly, unnaturally, underweight. He looked like an athlete or a model than a boxer. The fact that he has fought at a higher weight proves my point.

Look at the second last pic from the bottom - Smith's biceps are bigger and look natural on him; whereas CU's arms are not.

Except for the top weight, I wish they would box at their ideal weights.

I thought I felt that U looked a bit out of shape or something not looking all together right with him physically but I do not claim to have a sharp eye in the dept.

Still that takes nothing away from Smith I dont know what a rematch could do but I beleive it would be 50/50 if fought dependtent on the weight class. these guys will both make money after this fight but for dif reasons. One bc he made it an exciciting fight one that can carry over to easy hype the other bc people will line up to test him, and he will be tested for sure. Several decent fights this weekend.

"Still that takes nothing away from Smith ...."

What people meant to say is that they respected his win.

However, facts are facts. When bigger guys and bigger punchers could not whack Eubank at a bigger weight - as Froch pointed out - but a smaller man who is not noted as a big puncher managed to whack him at 160, then there is an obvious conclusion.

And the fact that 99% of the experienced and creditable eyes did not predict a KO win by Smith adds weight to the obvious conclusion.

Even Smithy did not claim that he would smash Eubank is revealing.

(That uppercut would have definitely knocked Dillian Whyte out! : )

So what is your obvious conclusion again ?

My obvious conclusion is that Eubank fought underweight and hence under powered. In contrast, Smith puts on a few pounds and hence had more power.

Force = Mass x acceleration.

One look at Eubank and most can see that he was too underweight.

I am not "most people" I suppose- no big deal I was not a big follower of those two guys saw them fight but never got that deep into there fight history they just did not hit me as fighters that I had a lot of interest in, not that they might not have been decent middle of the road fighters -to me that is. I am sure you know more about the two fighters then I do is what I am saying also sure you noticed more about there condition and weight leading into the fight. It happens. There should be some more fights this weekend. Yea I got more of a kick out of the Showtime card this weekend then the DAZN card, but I watched both bc it has be a drought of fights lately might be why the first card on Showtime got my attention so fast but few young guys on that card might have a decent future if they continue on the way they showed Friday night.
