My dad has one of the supply company cards in almost perfect condition. Prolly grade out around a 9. Any idea how much it might be worth or know someone we can talk to.

Big fan of yours Dan. I’m a collector of Ali cards as well. I have 1960 Hemmets Journal Card & 1964 Chocolates Simon card, are these also considered “Rookie Cards”?

Thanks for your time Dan, pretty sure Joshua v Fury gets made. I have my reservations towards Spence v Garcia but fingers crossed. You take care 👍 🤝

Very impressed- I’ve also enjoyed seeing the posters and programmes you’ve posted on Twitter. Where would a beginner start on boxing cards - I’ve collected a fair amount of baseball cards but they sound easier to buy.

Enjoying the news letter - bring back the water pressure report

Little confused, you left out the one card the hobby truly considers his rookie, 1960 Hemmets? That ESCO card is very cool though! Didn't know those existed.

Nothing to be confused about. The piece is about MY collection and I don't have the Hemmets, which I also for many reasons do not consider his rookie because it's not remotely close to being a legitimate card. It means no definitions of a card. It's a cool piece but not a legit card/rookie IMO.

Hey great posts Dan ! So cool to see the obscure cards in your collection. DTM I’m sure you’ve posted this before but I’d like to start collecting cards and wonder where to start ? Topps? Or do you start at another card producing company? Thanks

Topps doesn't really do boxing sets. Haven't since doing one in 1951! There are a few boxers scattered here and there in modern multi-sport products. Depends what years/eras you are interested in. There are some very affordable singles/sets from the 90s -- Kayo, Ringside, All World for example. Panini had multi-sport sets of stickers from the 60s into the 80s and each set has a handful of boxers. I have many of those and love 'em! The recent Allen & Ginter Topps sets usually have a boxer or two in there. Recent sets have had Canelo and Errol Spence, for example. Upper Deck's Goodwin Champions has had in recent sets Julio Cesar Chavez Sr (including auto cards), Ryan Garcia, Jack Johnson.

Hi Dan I met you in Vegas on the eve before Canelo V Golovkin, great guys thank you for the picture! Where do you buy most of your cards/programmes etc from? I’m collecting programmes mainly and now have 500+. I know you have a lot more 😉

Cards I have bought from dealers and on ebay and thru private sales with fellow collectors I have met online. Programs go to SPBoxing.com. I write for their programs for the past 20 years. Very reputable dealer and good prices. Tell him I sent ya!
