Andy Ruiz-Luis Ortiz done deal for Fox PPV; Canelo-GGG III will be at familiar venue; Joe Smith Jr. comments on KO loss; Hatton-Barrera exhibition ppd.; Quick hits; Show and tell
Do gate receipts for a relatively small [20k] capacity arena mean that many fight fans are simply priced out? $27m equates to $1,350 per ticket. Which is ridiculous.
Whilst not perfect boxing seems to be getting its act together. I see even a faded Golovkin as still a live dog, he won the first fight fairly clearly whilst the second was closer it was still a Golovkin win. If you gave Canelo every close round and was biased towards him then maybe you could claim a draw but as fans we know the judging isn't fair. You have to beat Canelo in the bulk of rounds and do so overwhelmingly, anything less and you'll get ripped off. I give the fight 55/45 to Canelo cos he's let GGG age and age til he's now middle aged.
Canelo's Nevada judging team prepare for action - blindfolds at the ready.
