Covid strikes again; one of the greatest broadcasters of our time pulls out of commentating as the show has become a circus, the PED shambles fight went ahead and the one remaining legitimate contest [Lopez] is moved to a Monday from a Tuesday - in a junior part of MSG [I'm aware that many great fights were scheduled weekdays, but wasn't that all a long time ago?].
Where next for this [once - hopefully still] great sport?!
Thanks for the write up lot of info I will have to come back to later that says a lot about the write up. Everything in boxing has fallen apart to some degree or another, and I say that not to kick dirt on anyone it is a shame that it has been allowed to happen though. No fights then if they are scheduled they are cancelled cancelled moved whatever. I do not even get angry anymore, drug testing yea sure make a pod out of it moral outrage OK. When a sport does not talk to each other as promoters go, where the fights are scheduled in a shady deal making forget the fans atmosphere, where most writters would not dare offend a promoter for fear of access to said fighter well it cant work well. Enjoy the undercards but dont ignore the truth about the fight game. It keeps shooting for new lows.
