This announcement of a WBC Super Flyweight tournament may give the fans a third Estrada vs Chocolatito fight which they will be pleased about however:
(1) it's very unfair to mandatory SSR who was set to fight Estrada for the title.
(2) it creates yet another unnecessary franchise champion who is no longer subject to mandatory defences and the challenges a real champion should have.
(3) most importantly it doesn't deal with the judging problem - one judge's card could still totally screw up the result of the third Estrada - Chocolatito fight - it seems the sanctioning bodies would prefer to have the controversy from bad decisions and just pocket the money from rematches than bringing the judging system into the 21st century and improving judging decisions.
Great to see common sense [hopefully] prevailing at 115. Many other divisions would benefit from a similar approach. Thanks for the content.
Conlan’s career has been pathetic so far.

Agree although SSR does get to fight for the vacant title vs. Cuadras with a chance to avenge a loss.
