Hurd v Resen could it turn into a fight sure that is always the chance in the ring for something good to happen like that. Got the age dif of ten years, got a kid with a decent corner stepping up and a guy who if I remember right has not shown in the ring lately. Not going to go back and watch film on it but sure it is a match up with possibilities. Not two guys who are on my radar at the moment but hope that will change once they meet. looking more foreward to the kid to show in there and get a new up and coming fighter to follow for a while if I had anything to say about it, but I dont beyound see how things shake out.
I will have to comment on this Notebook in pieces right now lot of good stuff to keep in mind. Fig v Mag ought to be a good match up. for several fights I did not like Fig but as time passed he proved me not a good talent scout. He will bang he will no let up, he did nt remind me of a fighter in the typical sense until I watched him fight a few times yea good guy in the ring. And of course I have seen mag fight before. Nice little care there. I like Showtime and the product they put out. It is always consistent on on time. Plus i have always said that it helps get those they may not be deep into boxing to watch due to its location on the dial. So that is always a plus. The fights do not have a lot of promotion except to the die hard fans many times. Showtime opens the door a little and they are solid in there fight cards.
Anyone remember when Roy Jones Jr was nicknamed “Reluctant Roy”? For his refusal to fight any dangerous competition. Dude was fighting Cops, Teachers, and Firemen for a time. That Hopkins rematch came way too late. I can’t believe I already bought tix for that Jose Ramirez exhibition in Fresno. Same day as the Plant/Benavidez PPV. That’s how desperate we’ve become in former Boxing Hot Bed, Northern California lol.
