I remember that RJJ Montel Griffin fight well. Jones was totally in the moment when he hit Griffin after he was down. Griffin played it up, and the ref really had little choice but to DQ Jones. It was blatant and intentional, but also happened in the blink of an eye in a close contest. A real let down ending for everyone.

The Tszyu vs Gausha fight is an interesting US debut fight for Tim Tszyu. Gausha's usually no easy touch and should be very determined to give Tszyu a hard night and steal the limelight from Tim.

So it's not an easy US debut for Tszyu but if he's gonna be a world champion he has to win fights like this one.

I am interested in this TSZ v Gaus bout Ozz but do you have a winner or a favorite as in the guy you want to extend his record going forward ? On that note there are now more fighters who don't fit the old mold of poor, only way out of poverty and oppression coming up then in any time most by way of there fathers earnings and rep. Not to detract from there skills or sacrifice just a side note there man. All good in the U.K. ?

Yes all good here thanks John even the Sun has decided to come out at last.

TBH I really can't judge who will win because I can't work out how good Tim Tszyu is yet based on his current record - he hasn't really beaten anyone of any note yet.

I know Gausha is a good opponent - although you probably know more about him than I do John - and so we should be able to say more about Tszyu after this fight.

I have to admit that I'd be pretty pleased if Gausha won as he's been matched pretty tough and has only lost to Lara and Lubin on points. A win for Terrell could get him a title shot.......well maybe?

Unfortunately as the fight's on Showtime I'll have to hope that someone posts it on YouTube afterwards so I can watch it on Sunday. Will you be watching it live John?

Sunshine in the U.K. that is a good day in itself EH ? Gausha has more boxing experience from a young age going forward as opposed to Tim Z. That is a factor the more ring time the more real time boxing experience not the only factor but a factor. It is a step up age can be an advantage or disadvange dependent on your fights (wars) how you were developed or pushed forward all play into it. So yea it is interesting and I will watch live and it should settle a lot of things with both fighters. I did not like some of the hype that T.Z. tossed about sometimes it is fact sometimes it is uncertainty that a fighter dont' realize he is carying. Both NEED a win here and it will effect them going forward in a major way. Showtime is a good source of fights it helps keep the fight game in the mainstream and bring in new fans due its being not just a boxing app.

Agreed - experience can go either way. It’s an interesting fight and I can’t predict the winner. It’s good when we get fights like this one.

Enjoy the fight Jon - I hope to catch it on YouTube tomorrow 👍.

Not an easy comeback fight for Buatsi after his hand injury. Richards has an awkward style that even Bivol had problems with. I hope the styles gel otherwise it could be pretty messy.

Dan, do you know if the WBA intends to order Leo Santa Cruz vs Leigh Wood?

They told me in the lead up to the Wood-Conlan fight that was what why would do.

How is LSC still the WBA 126lb champion when he hasn't defended the title since the Rivera fight on February 16th 2019 - that's over 3 years now?

IMHO this situation is worse than what the WBC did in allowing GRJ to defend once a year for so long.
