Fundora-Spence update; with Lomachenko injured, interim title bout in works; talks for Ennis-Stanionis unification bout; Usyk-Opetaia in future?; Nyika reflects on loss; Quick hits; Show and tell
I could be mistaken but I think i remember when you began FFU there was a question about reigniting the Friday Chats!! I believe you said it wasn’t possible at that time with substack , if I’m correct 🤷♂️ or if I’m wrong are there any thoughts about resurrecting the beloved chats.
Nothing against Dan. But after PBC's delusions of grandeur in 2024 came up very short. I'm putting them in the JC Chavez Junior category. I'll believe it, when I see it in the ring.
Always a good read Dan! I like being as informed as I am about boxing.
I’m a little conflicted about the prospect of Canelo-Crawford. Not that I won’t watch! I’m sure it would be really interesting but I don’t want to see either of those two magnificent boxers tarnished by a loss that would have a bunch of caveats.
•Canelo wins but Crawford was simply too small to compete at that weight.
•Crawford wins but Canelo, is in the later stages of his great career and what would have happened if this fight occurred five years ago.
Know what I mean? I contrast that with Opetaia- Nyika. Two evenly match fighters, a terrific fight and an asterisks-free, definitive victory for Opetaia. No if’s ands or buts.
Good info, TY.

Friday Chats definitely need a resurrection! And there's a chat feature built within Substack

Agreed. Just reporting on their “plans”
