Big Bang Zhang wasn't given the recognition he deserved, a medallist in 2 amateur World Championships and the 2008 Olympics at Super Heavyweight and who clearly had skills, could punch and to top that off was a natural southpaw. Most people thought Zhang in a close fight had got the win with Zhang knocking Hrgovic down in the first round putting it beyond argument. When the scores were given it made you question whether the 3 judges had got the 2 boxers and their names in reverse. In truth Joyce was fighting a top notch opponent and simply got well beaten. Hopefully Joyce will try to regain his position and this will be seen as a good thing, We need the best fighting the best and a loss is no big deal so long as you get opportunities to redeem your losses.
Joyce is lighter than he's been for quite a while - he looks in great shape.
While Zhang's a big guy, and Joe hasn't got great head movement, so ZZ provides a big threat especially early on.
However I expect Joe to take advantage of Zhang carrying 24 pounds more than himself, which should make it hard for ZZ to keep up with Joe's pace.
If Joe brings educated constant pressure, so that he doesn't get clipped, I think Zhang will gas and Joe will get the stoppage. In fact if Joe starts faster than he usually does he could even stop Zhang before the 7th round. Hopefully I haven't jinxed Joe with this prediction.
Before we talk about tonights fight on ESPN Plus actually todays fight here in the USA but anyhow it could get damn interesting with those two big Heavies taking it to each other.
But first last night, ESPN PLUS + i did not know what to expect or where it was even coming from but the fights from Panama City Panama hot damn there were some nice moments in the ring last night.
K.O. of the night well there were what three ? I seem to remeber what i called a massive KO by Cuevas of P.Rico but on Rodriguez in the second round if i remember correctly,
There was a light heavy weight KO in round # 4 by Menendez ? Right. Him. in a scheduled 8 rounder.
Then to me the fight of the night, Ortega a man with a will that every fighter that i ever respected that i ever followed had to have what this guy has. BALLS and determination and the ability to take a punch and return the favor. Yes it was a great Friday Night Fight going on in Panama last night. His opponent took and gave more then Ortega could handle but actually more then Ortega's corner could handle bc they threw in the towel, to save him or so they thought i believe they saved him from a win actually or possibly at least. But i am from the street so there is that. Exceellent fight heart power movement determination, just a good little card outta of place called Panama.
The real point is there were fights on last night that held my attention, that did not make me feel like the promoters of the fight were cheating me of my money like DAZN likes to do. Bunch of criminals in suits is all they are. So it was nice to know that a decent Friday night card existed yesterday. And that fighters still like to fight it out in the ring.

Falcao is an upgrade in competition over Agbeko, don’t you think?
