Okay but what was the justification for Berlanga leapfrogging him by beating McCrory? The WBA haven't published their corresponding 'rankings movements' (not that they're very detailed anyway).
The first 13 weeks of 2024 would have featured over 20 World Title fights in our sports 17 weight divisions - a tremendous first quarter to the year that should be acknowledged and celebrated by boxing's fans & followers 👍🏻🥊

It's simply a consequence of when an individually competed sport only has one recognised World Champion in a division with close to 2,000 participants

Seems like a sign there are too many belts to me.
Or that each division needs 4 belts in order to appease each viable contender that climbs the rankings? 😉👍🏻🥊
So as the worlds population increases we can look forward to 5-6-7 or more titles. yay
