I wonder if there’s any truth to the rumor? Chocolatito/Estrada 3 will be the Co-Main for Garcia/Fortuna. That’d be a card worth making a trip for. Solid Fight for Garcia. I think both GBP and Mayweather are waiting to see what happens this weekend. If Kambosos wins, both promotions will be looking to make that fight for either Tank or Ryan. If Haney wins, maybe we finally get Garcia/Tank. Due to Kambo’s rematch clause.
I believe (?) Fortuna is a PBC fighter and so if Davis at least remains with PBC, if not Mayweather, does Garcia (GBP/DAZN) fighting Fortuna suggest that a future Garcia vs Davis fight (co-promotion) would be possible?
PBC are going to struggle matching Davis at lightweight as their 135 pounders, not already beaten by Davis, are not currently up to top world/ PPV level.
Currently only co-promotions with Top Rank or GBP can produce the big 135lb fights for Davis. Maybe this is why Davis is currently assessing his options.
