first, love the USA Today story and your journey, Dan. Hamed was a great way to experience big time boxing in the 90s!

And now, my cynical side: gotta love the way the WBA suddenly has the "best interest of boxing" in mind, much less in the 126lb division, where on the male genitalia side, they've allowed Leo Santa Cruz to sit on the belt for going-on 4 years without hatching a single defense. If they could truly mandate great fights that are in the best interest of the sport, they sure have been very selective about doing so for the past, errr, 40 years. The WBA are the soul-vacuum of the sport, which is no small feat considering the list of deplorables associated with boxing.

That YouTube Showtime Stream of the Undercard Bouts is God Awful. The graphics and the insufferable talking heads take up half of the screen. Ridiculous.

I am convinces that I muista enjoyed the fights from Japan more then most but that is boxing I suppose. Nak got that cut from a head butt correct not a punch there was also another fight on the card where there were head butts in the second and third round yea Gonzales got butted in those two rounds but survived to get the win. Caused a bit more excitment in the ring for sure. As did the cut from a harsh butt in the Nak fight if I am correct. Was one hell of a card, Kag is not done I beleive he could come back and avenge his Loss but have to use a dif fight plan, maybe it was an off night. I would watch any of those fighters do it again or match up with someone else in the divion of 108 to 112. Enough said I suppose time to more on to the fights this weekend see if any card can top this one frm Japan on Tuesday Morning...............
