Every once an a while. A Boxer just goes on a Super Natural Run. In 2006, that was Vic Darchinyan. Dude was a Bad Man. A vicious Knockout Artist. An imperious and dismissive Mini Clubber Lang. July of 2007 he was set to face an unknown Nonito Donaire on Showtime. The story line was, Nonito was going attempt to avenge his brother Glenn’s demolition by Darchinyan the prior year. No one thought it was possible. But a left hook in the 5th round sent Darchinyan and his streak down for the count. Nonito’s had an up and down career. It’s amazing he’s still fighting for Championships. But that massive upset of Vic Darchinyan is where it all started. 🥊
