Bauza or now know as Ballza was punching back at all times, he never stopped so the ref never stopped the fight. Simple as the day is long. And he caught him several times up until the end also. Is he in a coma did I miss something here ? If I did I am sorry for commenting.
I rarely get worked up during matches of any stripe, but I was screaming “get in there!” so loud at one point in the Bauza fight - at a point when his head was slumping during a barrage - that it woke my wife up, from my basement to the top floor of a split level. Fights like this infuriate me and make me question why I still bother with this beautiful, infuriating sport.
EDIT: then I watched the Serrano fight and was reminded why.
That Bauza fight needed to be stopped. It was gross

Exceptionally well written articles with fair play to both fighters....A and B side. Excellent podcast.
