The two major shows on Saturday were both headlined by heavyweights, Oleksandr Usyk’s unified title defense against mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois in Poland and Jared Anderson’s knockout of Andriy Rudenko in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We analyzed and discussed both shows. We also covered a variety of news items from the week and paid tribute to Hall of Famer Juan Manuel Marquez on his 50th birthday.
Here’s what we discussed on this episode (in order):
Recap of Usyk’s ninth-round knockout of Dubois to retain the unified heavyweight title and all the hoopla over the low blow/clean body shot that has caused so much controversy. Hear all about it plus a discussion of the shameful lack of medical treatment given to lightweight Anthony Yigit, who boxed on the undercard and said he was denied.
Recap of Anderson’s one-sided fifth-round knockout of the usually durable Rudenko with an avalanche of body shots and the heavyweight co-feature in which Efe Ajagba won by fourth-round disqualification against Zhan Kossobutskiy, who hit him with several apparently purposeful low blows.
The WBC’s order for Shakur Stevenson and Frank Martin to meet for the organization’s vacant lightweight title.
The revelation that heavyweight Robert Helenius failed a drug test related to his recent one-punch KO loss to Anthony Joshua.
The retirement of former IBF featherweight and junior featherweight titlist Kiko Martinez, who gets his well-deserved flowers on the way out.
Super middleweight contender Jaime Munguia parting ways with trainer Erik Morales and linking up with Freddie Roach.
In our nostalgia segment, an ode to the great Hall of Fame four-division champion Juan Manuel Marquez on his 50th birthday.
Please give it a listen! Also: rate, review, subscribe and enjoy!

Damn right that is how it happened inside the ring, it was borderline but it was a low blow it was closer then most are called but it would have been a shame and a sham to have the belts go to Dubois who looked much better then he has in the past you do not have to win rounds to show improvement in the ring. Was he Ali in his prime or at the end ......Hell No but it was an entertaining fight none the less and not just bc of the low blow or yo yo you punch. yea no kiidding it was a low blow you can not pretend or act out a knock to the balls and Yousick never would do that anyhow. Past performance shows up again and again class acts classy and weakness often remains. Get over it and pick apart the whole fight not just what the Promo guys and lazy ones want us to talk about. What Usyk got was a wake up call in the end of it all 36 yo time to keep moving take the fights improve as a heavy and hey he knocked the guy out but everybody want to talk about Usyk's balls all day give me a break and please do not bleak my balls over my take on the fight..................
